For those dreaming of the best Komodo liveaboard diving cruise with a glass bottom for non-snorkelers, the Pinta Liveaboard offers an experience. Built in 2021, this magnificent 30-meter long by 6-meter wide traditional wooden phinisi boat, boasting a GT83 superstructure, is exquisite craftsmanship. Constructed from durable Ironwood and Teak, the Pinta Liveaboard combines traditional aesthetics with modern comfort, ensuring a smooth journey at 8-10 knots with a 5000 L water capacity. It comfortably accommodates up to 13 adults and 4 children across five luxurious room selections, making it ideal for families or groups with varying interests.
Komodo National Park, a vast 1,733 km² protected area designated in 1980 and later a UNESCO Biosphere and World Heritage Site, is a diver’s paradise. While many come for the incredible underwater exploration, the Pinta Liveaboard’s unique glass bottom feature allows non-snorkelers to witness this vibrant marine life firsthand. Imagine observing the kaleidoscope of coral gardens and an abundance of fish at sites like Batu Bolong, a true jewel of the park, all from the comfort of the boat. The main dive sites span Komodo, Rinca, Padar, and Flores islands, each offering distinct beauty. The best time to spot magnificent mantas in Komodo is during the rainy season, from December to February, when visibility can exceed 30 meters in December and January. While divers typically enjoy 3-4 dives per day (excluding departure and return days), with itineraries ranging from 3 nights to two weeks, the glass bottom ensures everyone can share in the magic. Do note, a National Park fee of 300,000 Rupiah per person per day is applicable for each day spent diving on a Komodo liveaboard.
