Pinta publishes three rate cards. Dive charters run from USD 11,250 (4 days / 3 nights, whole boat, 1–8 guests) to USD 37,900 (10 days / 9 nights, 9–12 guests). Leisure and snorkel charters run from USD 4,900 (2 days / 1 night, 1–4 guests) to USD 16,650 (8 days / 7 nights, 10–13 guests). Dive-course charters are quoted in rupiah, from IDR 140,000,000 for 4 days / 3 nights. All rates are for the whole boat and exclude national-park fees.
Why there are two rate cards, and which one you want
Most liveaboard sites publish one price and hide the fact that a snorkelling family is subsidising a dive operation they never use. Pinta separates them. If nobody in your group dives, you pay the leisure rate, which is materially lower because tanks, guides, compressor time and the 4:1 guiding ratio are not in the price. If anyone dives, you take the dive rate card and the whole boat becomes a dive platform.
The practical decision point is roughly this: if two or more people in a group of eight want more than a couple of dives, the dive card wins. If one person wants to dive occasionally, ask the desk — a leisure charter with day-dives arranged locally sometimes works out cheaper, and they will tell you when it does.

The leisure card has an extra-guest column because it is priced up to 13 guests plus additions, to a maximum of 14 people on board. The dive card stops at 12 because guiding at a 4:1 ratio and the working space on the dive platform both cap out there.
Dive-course charter rates (rupiah)
Charters built around certification courses are quoted in rupiah on a separate card. These are whole-boat prices for trips where instruction is the core of the itinerary rather than an add-on.

The counter-intuitive line is the last one. December to March is sold everywhere as Komodo low season, and for a beach holiday it is. For manta divers it is the best window of the year, because monsoon-driven plankton is what brings the animals in. If you can tolerate a rolling night at anchor, those months buy you the highest manta counts and the quietest sites.
What is and is not in the price
Included: Full-board accommodation in an en-suite cabin, all meals prepared on board, snacks, drinking water, tea and coffee, tanks, weights and belts, guided dives at a PADI-standard 4:1 guide-to-diver ratio, the glass-bottom tender, snorkelling gear, stand-up paddleboards and the kayak, and the crew of eight.
Excluded: Komodo National Park entry tickets and the locally collected ranger, harbour and diver charges, flights to Labuan Bajo, nitrox where requested, personal dive-computer or full-gear rental beyond the on-board set, alcohol, dive courses and certification fees, travel and dive insurance, and crew gratuity.

One correction worth making because it costs travellers real money: figures of IDR 600,000, IDR 650,000 or IDR 900,000 quoted online as “the Komodo entrance fee” are bundles of the national-park ticket plus regional levies and ranger charges, not the government tariff. The tariff under PP 36/2024 is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per visit. The IDR 3,750,000 conservation membership announced in 2022 was cancelled and has never been collected.
How to book
- Send the four facts. Dates, group size, certification levels and logged-dive counts, and whether anyone in the group is a non-diver. That is enough for a firm quotation.
- Get the itinerary matched to the group. The site list is written from your certification mix, not from a template.
- Confirm the extras in writing. Nitrox availability for your dates, instructor availability if anyone is taking a course, dietary requirements, and cabin bed configuration (twin or double).
- Place the deposit to convert a held date into a confirmed booking. Deposit percentage and the balance-due date are stated on the quotation.
- Send passenger details and insurance. Passport details, emergency contact, and a dive insurance policy number covering hyperbaric treatment and evacuation.
- Book flights around a morning finish. Itineraries return to Labuan Bajo in the morning, and you should allow 18 to 24 hours between the last dive and flying.
Book four to six months ahead for July, August and the December-to-March manta window. April to June and September to November have more room, though the best dates still move early. Rates on this page are the published card; confirm the current figure for your dates at the time of booking.

- Family with two divers and four snorkellers: ask for both quotations and compare — the answer genuinely varies.
