My Pinta liveaboard Komodo diving cruise was truly unforgettable. Diving Komodo’s Wonders
Our 7-night itinerary allowed us to discover Komodo’s best dive sites. While the best time to see manta rays is typically the rainy season between December and February (when visibility can peak at over 30 meters), we were lucky enough to see them year-round. Manta Point lived up to its name, with oceanic mantas gracefully circling at cleaning stations. Batu Bolong was a highlight for its vibrant reef sharks, massive giant trevally, and elegant Napoleon wrasse. We also explored Crystal Rock, teeming with fusiliers and sweetlips, a truly pulsing coral spectacle. The reef sharks were a constant thrill, adding an extra layer of excitement to every dive.
Beyond the Depths: Land Excursions
The Pinta liveaboard isn’t just about diving. We had fantastic opportunities for land excursions too. Trekking to see the famous Komodo dragons on both Komodo and Rinca islands was an awe-inspiring experience. The panoramic views from our hike up Padar Island were breathtaking, offering incredible photo opportunities. And, of course, no Komodo trip is complete without a visit to Pink Beach, one of only seven in the world.
