Pinta’s 2027 dive charters run from USD 11,250 whole boat for 4 days / 3 nights up to USD 37,900 for 10 days / 9 nights, and snorkelling charters from USD 4,900 for 2 days / 1 night. Whole-boat pricing means group size, not trip length, is the biggest lever on the per-person figure.

The one piece of arithmetic that matters
Whole-boat pricing behaves differently from per-cabin pricing, and most divers get it backwards. The 4-day dive charter at USD 11,250 is USD 11,250 whether four people or eight people sail. At four divers that is USD 2,813 each; at eight it is USD 1,406; at twelve, on the higher band, it is roughly USD 1,046. Filling the boat moves the per-person cost by a factor of nearly three. Extending the trip from four days to eight roughly doubles it.
So the honest advice to a group asking how to get more diving for the money is not “book a shorter trip”. It is “bring more people”. Twelve divers on an 8-day charter at roughly USD 2,471 each get twenty-two to twenty-six dives across the full park; four divers on a 4-day charter pay USD 2,813 each for nine to eleven dives in the north.

Note what that table implies: the best conditions of the year sit in shoulder demand. April to June and September to November give the calmest seas and northern visibility toward 30 metres without the July-August premium or the crowding.
Everything that sits outside the charter
Park entry. The government tariff set by Peraturan Pemerintah No. 36/2024 is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per visit, flat, with trekking, wildlife observation and snorkelling included. Indonesian nationals pay IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and public holidays.
Locally collected charges. Diver surcharge and harbour fee, each typically quoted around IDR 25,000 per person per day. Operator-collected, confirm before booking.
Flights. Denpasar to Labuan Bajo is roughly one to one and a half hours; Jakarta to Labuan Bajo roughly two to two and a half hours. Airlines serving LBJ include Garuda Indonesia, Batik Air, Citilink and Lion Air Group, with seasonal frequencies.
Dive insurance. Annual specialist cover, not standard travel insurance.
Nitrox. On request — confirm availability before booking.
Pre- and post-trip hotel nights in Labuan Bajo, which the 18-hour no-fly interval often makes necessary.
What the price is buying

She carries 5,000 litres of fresh water and 2,350 litres of fuel, with 30 kVA and 15 kVA generators plus an 8 kVA emergency unit. Frequently asked questions
How much is a Komodo liveaboard in 2027?
Pinta’s dive charters run from USD 11,250 whole boat for 4 days / 3 nights with one to eight guests up to USD 37,900 for 10 days / 9 nights with nine to twelve. Snorkelling charters start at USD 4,900 for 2 days / 1 night.
What is the cheapest way to dive Komodo on a private charter?
Fill the boat. At twelve divers the 4-day charter works out at roughly USD 1,046 per person against USD 2,813 for a group of four. Group size moves the per-person cost far more than trip length does.
Which months are peak season for Komodo liveaboards?
July and August, driven by northern-hemisphere holidays, plus specific late-December festive dates. April to June and September to November offer the best conditions at shoulder demand.
What is not included in a Komodo liveaboard price?
Park entry at IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per visit, locally collected diver and harbour charges of around IDR 25,000 per day each, flights, dive insurance, nitrox where requested, and hotel nights either side of the charter.
How far in advance should I book for 2027?
Four to six months for July, August and the December-to-March manta window, and three to four months for the calm shoulder seasons, although the best dates in April to June and September to November still move early.
Pinta is operated and sold by Komodo Luxury, the Labuan Bajo charter operator running trips in Komodo National Park since 2015. Reservations, dive-team questions and date holds: WhatsApp +62 811 3823 875 or sales@komodoluxury.com.
